Call To Worship
Christ calls all to come and worship, to come and serve this day. Christ calls all, the sure of faith and those who doubt, those singing for joy and those bowed down with sorrow. Christ calls all, whatever their worship customs, he calls all of us to be one body in love and witness. Let us worship the Christ who calls!
Invocation
Almighty and Most Merciful God, we call upon your gracious favor to awaken in all of us the will to learn Christ's way and the courage to embody Christ's example. Keep us from judging others, and from believing that "our way" is the only way faithfully to follow you. Grant that with humility of heart, we may ever look unto you, the fountain of all wisdom, power, truth, and righteousness, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Confession
God of grace, we confess that we have sometimes been too quick to proclaim you sovereign in our lives and too slow to live as your disciples. We have been quick to judge others, and slow to see our own shortcomings. Instead of seeking the unity you desire we have often been exclusive in our family of faith. Forgive us, Lord, and by the power of your Holy Spirit enable us to mend our ways. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
O God, by giving these offerings we communicate the message that we really care, that we honor you as the Lord of our lives and that we love the cause for which you lived and died. Amen.
Hymns
"Have Thine Own Way, Lord"
"O Spirit Of The Living God"
"Help Us Accept Each Other"
