A Journey Through the Psalms: Reflections for Worried Hearts and Troubled Times
Preaching the Psalms Cycles A, B, C
Hope is a concept that contemporary Christians do not engage with much competence. Awash as we are in this culture, we find ourselves having reduced hope to a vain and empty wish. In the morning we step outside and we hope it won't rain today. We hope that the boss will like us. If you're a pastor, you find yourself hoping that Sunday's attendance will be at least the same as last week. And please God, don't let it be less!
