There is something about this day that stirs us to the very depths of our being.
Perhaps it is the drama of a most unusual parade with the pathos of a lowly figure riding fearlessly into the jaws of death.
Perhaps it's the festive music and green palm branches that evoke the memory of a day in our own lives when we said yes to Christ -- confessing in our confirmation vows that Jesus Christ is Lord and redeemer, pledging to serve him and to love him forever.
