My friend Bill Benson was a successful small town businessman. His little grocery store stayed open long after many of the other businesses in Willow Bluff had succumbed to the overwhelming competition of the big chain warehouse stores that have moved into the city over the past ten years. People were glad to be able to buy their groceries locally and often thanked Bill for making it possible. But this is not what Bill will be remembered for.
