A young married woman had been quarreling with her mother-in-law, to the extent that the elderly one had quit attending their church.
Yet, one afternoon, when children were in school, these two women were surprised at the movie theater to find themselves seated side by side, when the lights came on for the interlude when projector needs were being met.
They sat there as strangers and had a friendly conversation until the room darkened again. The younger woman told me about it in a counselling session.
