It still disturbs us to recall those events, O heavenly Spirit. There, right in our homes, through the television's flickering images -- who knows how many times -- we've seen a man of one race beating/killing a man of another race.
Even though the criminality of what takes place seems to be so evident, still the justice system fails to see it. And the greater crime may be our timidity that permits and promotes such hatred and cruelty toward brothers and sisters of another color.
