Pastoral Prayers For All Seasons
Sometimes, God our Sustainer, it is difficult to pray. Our thoughts are muddled and pestered by nagging little opinions that clamor for our attention. We start speaking to you in one sentence, only to find ourselves talking to you in another. These distractions keep stealing our concentration and before long we've forgotten what we were praying about.
How can we clear our minds? Should we simply pack it in for today and try praying tomorrow? Or should we keep on in our muddled way pushing through to the end of our prayer in spite of all the confusion?
