Your creation, O Lord, is an awesome and astounding work. Sometimes it is so beautiful we stand stunned in silence. We don't move. With our entire being we want to take more of it into ourselves. Yet, at other times, your creation terrorizes us. Its sky darkens and becomes an eerie green. The rain pelts against our homes. Hail stones rata-tat-tat against our cars. And trees that we can't make quiver with our strongest effort, are tossed this way and that like a snapping whip.
