People: Even as God gave Moses the Law that nations might learn of God's order,
Leader: We have been called today to witness of God's love for all to see.

O God, You are truly omniscient and omnipotent, yet You have reached out to us who are so very small and fragile so that we might come to know of Your wonder. We praise You, O Lord. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Lord, so often we have taken for granted the wonderful gift You extended to us through the cross. Too often, Lord, all we seem to want to focus on is our own individual problems or goals in life, and we seldom consider where You might have us serve or how our service might bring glory and praise to You. Forgive us, Lord, and help us remember who we are. In Christ we pray. Amen.

Call To Worship
Leader: People of God, let us come into God's house with humble hearts!
People: For in Christ God has shown us the foolishness of human wisdom.
Leader: Yet God's love for us is so great Christ calls us into God's family.
People: Righteous not by our wisdom but by the cross and the wisdom of God,
Leader: Let us be humble, but let us also proclaim loudly the mercy of God.
All: Blessed be the name of the Lord!

O God, in Your infinite wisdom You choose to love and reach out to us, making us welcome in Your presence even though not one of us is worthy in our own merit. We thank You, O Lord, for loving us. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Lord, so often we have allowed ourselves to believe the wisdom and the honors of this world to be more important to us than You are. Too often we may even have known the foolishness of our choices yet we still turned away from You. Forgive us, Lord, and give us the courage to stand alone if need be, in order to be faithful and true to Your will for our lives. In Christ we pray. Amen.

People: Let us keep our eyes on the cross and all that it calls us to be.
Leader: Let us also see in the cross the price paid to show us God's love.
People: Let us walk without fear and be willing to share God's love today.
Leader: And let us give thanks and sing praise for God's mercy and grace.
All: Blessed be the name of the Lord!

O God, in the cross You moved us from believing that the temple building was the only place of worship to accepting that our hearts and lives are Your temple of true worship. We praise You, Lord. In Christ we pray. Amen.

Lord, so often we desire to be a part of Your family but don't really want to accept our crosses. We would carry Your name but not always be willing to live as You taught us. We would be Your followers but we shrink away when we think of the price we might be called upon to pay. Forgive us, Lord, and give us courage to live for You. In Christ we pray. Amen.
