Background
Ulrich Zwingli was one of five early Protestant Reformers concerned with worship. Zwingli's liturgy came to be known as the Zurich Liturgy because of his work in that city. While some of his writings sound radical for the period, his efforts to reform worship were not. He was attacked as being too conservative by the radicals and too radical by the conservatives.
