An American flag with gold trim
Purpose: To think about what it means to say, "One nation under
God."
Lesson: Today we are going to look at the American flag and see
what symbols we can find here and what they might mean to us as
Christians.
The stars remind us of shining and the blue makes us think of
the sky or heaven. These two symbols together remind us that many
people in our country want us to be a nation under God. Jesus
told us to let our light shine before people, or we can say,
before nations so that they may see our good works and give
God."
