Merciful God, we confess that we have ignored your advice and have not been willing to listen to your correction. Pour out your Holy Spirit upon us that we may gain a heart of wisdom, and set our feet upon a straight path that we may serve you with heart, mind, soul, and strength. Amen.

O Lord, our God, how wonderful are your works throughout the earth. We have come together to praise you and give thanks for your many blessings. May the words that come from our mouths come also from our hearts that we may truly show our thanks by the lives we live. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession

Call To Worship
Come, let us worship the Lord by responding to his invitation. Leave self behind, take up your cross, and follow Jesus. Walk in the Lord's presence in the land of the living. Come!
Collect
Almighty God, who suffers with us when we must endure pain, and has shown us through your Son, Jesus Christ, who suffered the pain of death upon the cross, that you are always with us, grant us courage to accept suffering as well as healing and help, for your name's sake. Give us inner strength by your Spirit, that we may be faithful in the confession of your name, Jesus Christ, Son of the living God. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
God and Father of us all, you are the source of life and love, and we join our voices in praise. We thank you for the call which has come to each of us today: "Come, follow me." Forgive us for we have heard but failed to respond. Help us to be sensitive to the message of your love revealed in Jesus Christ, and help us to respond by taking up our cross and following you. Amen.
