Many churches in England in small country parishes are struggling.
Often the regular congregation consists of only a handful of people, most of
whom are no longer young. Special services such as Harvest Festival or
Remembrance Sunday or Easter Day still attract perhaps three or four times as
many people, but regular Sunday worship can be difficult.
