The Village Shepherd
God's Strength Is Made Perfect Through Weakness
Sermon
I once knew a Church of England lay reader, Dorothy, who was the most physically vulnerable person I'd ever met. She had developed a progressive illness, and when I first met her was completely wheelchair bound. She was unable even to stand alone, but needed someone to lift her.
Yet despite this Dorothy lived alone, managing to survive with the help of two carers who came first thing in the morning and last thing at night, and neighbours who might or might not pop in.
