The Village Shepherd
Hope For The Future
Sermon
When the Seniors at the local golf club arranged their summer barbeque for a Sunday afternoon, a churchgoing golfer sent his apologies. Anything on a Sunday, he explained, excluded him because he was already committed for the whole of Sunday. The committee were disappointed that this popular member would be unable to be present, but pointed out that for everyone else, Sunday was the only day they could manage. They had so many commitments for Saturday that Sunday was their day for leisure activities, having the grandchildren over, and doing the weekly shop at the supermarket.
