Village Shepherd

I usually have a class from the local primary school coming into church once each year, to learn about baptism. We have a really good time with a doll, which has been "baptised" on many occasions! But first, I sit all the children down and ask them if any of them have been baptised. That usually elicits one or two tentative and uncertain hands rising in the air. I then ask how many have been christened, and a few more hands go up, more certain this time.
