Risen God, I really do want to know you in a new sort of way. I want to understand at the deepest level of my being and I want to be changed by you. But it's difficult, risen Lord. I have my life, and I quite like it the way it is. Could you half come in...? Risen God, help me to hand over control to you. Help me to be willing to allow you total access to my life. Risen God, the world feels like an unfair place. So many, many people suffer crucifixion but so few of them seem to experience much in the way of resurrection. Risen God, may we so clearly understand your truth that we are prepared and ready to ensure that those who live in poverty begin to enjoy some of the wealth we have procured for ourselves.
