The church in southern Ohio...

The church in southern Ohio had undergone four years of trouble. Two pastors came and
went during those four years and the church was in steep decline. Once the largest church
in town, it now seemed destined to come to a pitiful end.
When Pastor Linda was appointed, many of the church members believed she was there to preside at the "funeral" of this once great church. But Linda ... and God ... had other ideas! Slowly at first, but with increasing speed, Linda met the people where they were at, she listened to them, and began to do a good work among them. People started coming back to church. At first they came to check out the "woman pastor" but soon they were coming to church to worship and learn from God's Word.
Within one year, attendance doubled. Within three years, the church was healthier and larger than it had ever been. Clearly, Pastor Linda was a "shepherd of the people...."
