During the decade of the 1930s Winston Churchill was one of the few people in England who saw the growing peril of the Nazi tyranny. His cries for preparation fell on deaf ears. He was vilified by government officials and the press. He was exceedingly unpopular. Nonetheless, he propounded consistently his message even though no one seemed to be listening.
