God is there
Commentary
I don't know whence it came or why and how it sticks in the mind, but from sermon research twoscore years ago I remember a line about a little boy who was told the story of Jesus' death. He heard how Jesus was innocent. How the world of injustice could not stand the presence of a just one. How the kings of this world could not endure one whose kingdom was not of this world. How hate ruled, leaving no room for love. Nothing about the story, then, matched what the fortunate boy had been taught about justice, power, and love.
