Viktor Frankl is well known...

Viktor Frankl is well known for his book, Man's Search For Meaning. In it he relates the terrible conditions of prison life at Auschwitz during World War II. The guards brutally mistreated the prisoners as though they were animals. They were given numbers, and these were used in place of their names.
In the midst of this cruelty, Frankl was able to find some pleasure by remembering his wife. He would imagine conversations with her and dwelt on the love they had shared. The prison walls could not separate him from his love for her.
