The young man joined the church at age sixteen, not because he became a Christian, but because his parents insisted. Until that Sunday, his dad took him hunting and fishing on Sundays. Occasionally, his parents sent him to church school. He remained an atheist between sixteen and eighteen. He participated in the church's life dragging his heels. Only he in the family refused to sit in the same room when the pastor visited his family for the first time. While still an atheist, he heard a strange question from the pastor.
