MAGNIFICENT CREATOR, WE ARE HUMBLED BY THE VOICE OF YOUR POWER AND MAJESTY EVEN YOUR SON JESUS AWES US, AS HE DOES YOUR SERVANT, JOHN THE BAPTIST, SO THAT WE KNOW WE ARE UNWORTHY TO UNFASTEN HIS SHOES. WE ARE OFTEN TOO PROUD TO STOOP TO THE MENIAL SERVICE THAT OUR NEIGHBOR'S NEEDS REQUIRE. FORGIVE THE ARROGANCE THAT OVERLOOKS THE CHRIST WHEN HE IS IN THE GUISE OF OUR NEEDY NEIGHBORS ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD; THROUGH JESUS CHRIST, YOUR MODEL SON. AMEN
DECLARATION OF GOD'S FORGIVENESS
Friends, hear the Good News. We share the promise of God with his people the Jews, through the secret of Christ. Though we are unworthy, we are granted God's favor also in Jesus Christ, and are baptized into the church of his beloved Son. Friends, believe the Good News IN JESUS CHRIST WE ARE FORGIVEN.
ADMONITION
Do not lose heart Proclaim the Good News of the riches of Christ to all, so that the wisdom of God in all its varied forms may be known by everyone.

CREATOR DIVINE, YOU HAVE PLANTED THE SEED OF THE WORD WITHIN US, SO THAT WE MAY BE WHEAT FOR YOUR
GRANARY DRENCH US WITH THE GOOD RAIN OF YOUR SPIRIT SO THAT WE MAY BE PART OF YOUR ABUNDANT HARVEST TO BE GATHERED INTO YOUR HEAVENLY GRANARY, AND NOT CHAFF TO BE DESTROYED AS WORTHLESS;
THROUGH THE GRACE OF YOUR WORTHY SON, JESUS OF NAZARETH. AMEN

GRACIOUS GOD, YOU SEND YOUR ANOINTED TO BRING GOOD NEWS TO THE POOR, TO HEAL THE BROKEN-HEARTED,
TO ANNOUNCE RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVES AND FREEDOM TO THOSE IN PRISON. SUCH SALVATION TURNS SADNESS INTO JOY AND MOURNING INTO GLADNESS, SO WE SING YOUR PRAISE AND GIVE THANKS TO YOU FROM SINCERE HEARTS, FOR EVEN IN THE MIDST OF EARTH'S RUINS YOU HELP US TO REBUILD WITH HOPE. AMEN

The voice of the Lord is upon the waters; the God of glory thunders;
THE LORD IS UPON THE MIGHTY WATERS.
The voice of the Lord is a powerful voice;
THE VOICE OF THE LORD IS A VOICE OF SPLENDOR.
The voice of the Lord breaks the cedar trees;
