Call To Worship
One: Here, we gather to worship God;
here, we come to gather up hope.
All: Here, we come to find renewed strength,
to put flesh on our faith.
One: Here, we wait for God to speak;
here, God waits to fill our hearts.
All: Here, we are reminded of God dwelling in us;
here, we encounter the One
who wipes away our tears.
One: Here, we bring our pain and loneliness to God;
here, we seek the constant love of our God.
All: Here, we are cradled by the One who weeps with us;
here, we are given the hope for which we long.
Prayer Of The Day
Holy God,
Creator of Life,
in our darkened valleys,
you bring light;
in our crumbling communities,
you build your kingdom;
our barren lives are renewed
by your love.
Jesus Christ,
Mourner of the Dead,
by your tears
you take away our pain;
with your voice,
you call us to new life;
through your death,
you shatter all our fears of dying.
Holy Spirit,
Breath of God,
you live in every corner
of our souls;
you bind us to God
with your loving presence;
you breathe God's peace
into our sin-torn lives.
God in Community, Holy in One,
hear our hearts as we pray together, saying,
Our Father ...
Call To Reconciliation
If God is keeping a record of our sins, we hope it will never be published. But, in reality, if the book was opened, every page would be blank, for God forgives us. Let us wait for God's mercy and grace, as we come to our God with our confession.
Unison Prayer Of Confession
Set free by your saving grace, Generous God, we confess that we are still confined by our pride and arrogance. We cannot throw off the grave clothes of habitual sin. We cling to our sins and fears, simply because they are so familiar and comfortable.
Yet, into every corner of our lives, into every shadow we fear, into death's dark tomb, you enter, Steadfast God. You break the bonds of sin and death, and call us to new life through the love and sacrifice of your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

One: People of God, put your hope in God,
for God offers us love that never fails,
life that never ends.
All: We wait for God, and God does not show up late.
God's hope, God's love, God's grace are forever.
